Cash Goes Gold

For the first time in 32 years, Johnny Cash has had a record certified gold. American IV: The Man Comes Around passed the 500,000 mark in April, thanks in part to a moving video of his cover of Trent Reznor’s "Hurt," directed by Mark Romanek. His previous gold record, The World of Johnny Cash, was released in 1970.
